Saturday night's track was optimal for racing. With a wet and sticky track, a night full of excitement was underway.

The #7 car was in Heat race number three, starting 2nd row outside. As the green flag came out, eight cars fought for transfer positions for the main event. Greg quickly moved up to the 2nd position, behind #9 car, Chris Wakim. Wakim is currently 2nd in points, and Greg is a close 3rd. Greg inched closer and closer to Wakim, but as the checkered waved, the Taylor Motorsports car finished a strong 2nd.

Finishing 2nd in the Heat race meant that Greg had to start 4th row inside, for the main event. Since 31 sprint cars showed up, 20 would be in the running for the 30 lap main event. The crew chief, Rick Taylor, put a setup on the #7 car making it maneuverable both high and low on the racetrack.

The green flag waved and 30 laps of racing were underway. Greg got a good start and was already in 6th position by lap three. On lap five a yellow came out, caused by a flat tire on the leader, #20oz Gary Howard. By lap 10 Greg had weaved in and out of cars and lap traffic. He was already in 4th, and moving up fast. Lap traffic had become a problem by this time. Greg was inching closer and closer to the 3rd place car, #15 Denny McVey. McVey and Greg were in 3rd and 4th position for a couple more laps, and then on lap 20 Greg passed #15 car on the bottom! Then, on lap 25, McVey managed to pass Greg, due to lap traffic. Soon the white flag waved, and Greg gained his position back to 3rd. The checkered came out and Chris Wakim took the win, followed by Jeff Heaton, and Greg Taylor 3rd.

It was a great finish for the Taylor Motorsports team. Great job Greg, the crew, and everyone who made this possible. Keep it up!
